A.S.I.LAB’s Class II, Type A2

A.S.I.LAB’s Class II, Type A2 Biosafety Cabinets provide personnel, product and environmental protection from hazardous particulates such as agents that require Biosafety Level 1, 2 or 3 containments. Other appropriate applications include work with antineoplastic drugs, genetic material, asbestos and additional substances that generate hazardous airborne particulates.

These biological safety cabinets are designed to discharge HEPA-filtered exhaust air directly into the laboratory, or into an exhaust system through the optional Canopy Connection. When canopyconnected, the Biosafety cabinets may be used for applications involving minute quantities of volatile toxic chemicals and tracer amounts of radionuclide as an adjunct to microbiological research.

Understanding BSC Class2 A2 works

During operation, room air is drawn into the inlet grill. The air in the plenum beneath the work surface is a mixture of unfiltered room air and air that has just passed through the work area.

This contaminated air is drawn by the blower through the back plenum of the cabinet, where approximately 70% of the air is recalculated through the supply HEPA filter and back over the work area. The balance of the contaminated air is discharged to the environment after passing through the exhaust HEPA filter.

HEPA filters- Two HEPA filters (Exhaust and supply), should be of 99.9% efficiency at 0.1to 0.3μ.
Motorized sash opening and closing with microprocessor-controlled logic and LCD display.
UV Lamp. For secondary decontamination while cabinets not in use.
Safety switch permits operation only when sash is completely closed
Fluorescent light for better visibility in the working area.
Blower speed automatically reduces when the sash is completely closed.
Sash opening available in two options 8 inches or 10 inches as per user requirement**
Audio visual alarm for Sash height; UV light hours, filter replacement; (optional Airflow slow)
5mm tempered glass sash / polycarbonate sash**.
